What is BODYCOMBAT?

LES MILLS GRIT™ Strength is a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, designed to improve strength, cardiovascular fitness and build lean muscle. This workout uses barbell, weight plate and bodyweight exercises to blast all major muscle groups. LES MILLS GRIT Strength takes cutting-edge HIIT and combines it with powerful music and inspirational coach who will be down on the floor with you, motivating you to go harder to get fit, fast.

GRIT is not for the feint hearted. Be ready to find your limits and break through them.

Why do you love GRIT Strength?

GRIT sums up my entire attitude towards training - Hard, Fast and Aggressive. We find our limits, challenge them, and leave them in the dust. We work until the body doesn't dare tell us that we "can't", ever again.

CLASS INFORMATION

Whats Involved

Movements to perform in set blocks of time that allow you to complete maximum repetitions to focus on power training – maximizing muscle output to hit top-end training zones.

The music is an integral part of the workout but doesn’t dictate the pace. As you work to your own individual max effort, you can really push your limits – and that’s a fundamental component of LES MILLS GRIT. So if moving in time to music isn’t your thing, don’t stress, it’s there to motivate you, not confuse you. The great thing is for people who love moving to the beat is that it’s definitely still an option as the music also provides you with a base tempo to move to.

The HIIT training effect of GRIT means you increase aerobic fitness, unleash fast-twitch muscle fibers and grow lean muscle tissue, whilst burning fat.

What to bring

You don't need to bring anything other than water and towel for any class at Evolve Studios. All equipment is provided for you.

Health Considerations

GRIT includes various dynamic and loaded moves that may not be suitable for those with joint issues. Please contact us to check suitability so we can prepare adaptations fo you. Pregnancy: This class is not suitable during pregnancy, due the high intensity. Please consider some of our other classes.

  • All bookings must be made by the individual attending, using their own account. You cannot book for somebody else.

  • Session begins promptly at the time stated please arrive at least 5 minutes prior.
