What is BODYCOMBAT?

BODYCOMBAT is a high-energy martial arts-inspired workout that is totally non-contact. Punch and kick your way to fitness and burn up to 570 calories in a class. No experience needed. Learn moves from Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira and Kung Fu. Release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ. Bring your best fighter attitude and leave inhibitions at the door.

CLASS INFORMATION

Whats Involved

BODYCOMBAT features moves from Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira and Kung Fu. But don’t fret, you don’t need any martial arts experience – during the warm up you’ll be coached through all the different movements. You can expect to power through invigorating sets of hooks, jabs and uppercuts, and there are plenty of kicks and high knees too. You’ll also benefit from functional training moves such as lunges, squats and push ups.

BODYCOMBAT is an energy-packed mix of martial arts moves that will get you fit, fast and strong – and leave you feeling fierce and empowered.

What to bring

You don't need to bring anything other than water and towel for any class at Evolve Studios. All equipment is provided for you.

Health Considerations

BODYCOMBAT includes various dynamic moves that may not be suitable for those with joint issues. Please contact us to check suitability so we can prepare adaptations fo you. Pregnancy: This class is not suitable during pregnancy, due the release of hormones such as oestrogen and relaxin can result in joints being less stable – so the kicks in BODYCOMBAT may adversely affect the hip and pelvis.
