What is EVOLVE Bungee?

Popularised by social media, Bungee Fitness is an incredibly fun workout that gets your heart pumping and muscles working. Fitted with a harness attached to a bungee cord, you'll call on your core strength and balance to perform full body aerobic movements and fly.

IMPORTANT: SUITABILITY

Current maximum bodyweight of 95kg applies. A maximum waist circumference of 42 inches and maximum thigh circumference of 28 inches also apply. Measurements may be taken on the session to verify suitability.

Is Bungee safe?

Our qualified instructor, Gerry Leanne, will guide you through each class, ensuring you are fitted safely and securely. You can stop at any point. Our industrial rigging points handle over 1 tonne and equipment is safety checked regularly.

CLASS INFORMATION

Whats Involved

Your body weight will be supported by a harness that fits around the waist and thighs, and your core muscles are working for an entire 45 minutes. This can take several sessions to get used to, and we do recommend at least 1 week between your first sessions. Fitness beginners will benefit from additional training to allow Bungee to be more comfortable. Whilst Bungee is very fun, it is challenging, suiting those willing to exercise and work hard.

What does it do?

Evolve Bungee is a full body workout with antigravity. A conventional bodyweight squat has less resistance on the decent, and more on the ascend. With bungee, this is the opposite, as you will push down against the resistance chord by grounding your core and contracting your muscles, then be assisted by the bungee as it pull you back up. Add this concept to every movement, and you'll see how Bungee targets every muscle whilst challenging your proprioception, balance and cardio ability.

What to bring

You don't need to bring anything other than water and towel for any class at Evolve Studios. All equipment is provided for you. We do not recommend crop tops or short shorts for bungee, to avoid harness abrasions.

Health Considerations

We do NOT recommend Bungee Fitness if you are pregnant, have has surgery of any kind in the past 6 months or have chronic pain or a medical condition involving the shoulders, wrists, hands or low back. If you have any of these conditions, an approval letter from your medical professional will be required.

  • All bookings must be made by the individual attending, using their own account. You cannot book for somebody else.
