As youโve probably felt this week, the temperature has recently dropped from mild to 0 with barely any adjustment, and our studios have gone from cool to ๐๐ง๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ฃ๐ almost instantly. Weโre already using heaters, but with concrete floors and a high tin roof, the cold settles in quickly in studio 1 and itโs quite tricky to combat.
For anyone whoโs newer here, Evolve was once a fire-damaged shell of an ex slaughterhouse (๐ซฃ) that I rebuilt myself. Every improvement you see has been added piece by piece over time. Full insulation and heating would cost at least ยฃ25,000 - and while itโs very much part of our future, I canโt make that happen instantly whilst keeping our studios small and intimate, and pricing accessible.
Every year we evolve bit by bit, and next yearโs expansion possibilities (taking on some downstairs space) means we can build an extra studio from scratch (with lower ceilings) so we can ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐จ๐ช๐ก๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ, ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐, ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฅ๐ง๐ค๐ฅ๐๐ง ๐๐ค๐ข๐๐ค๐ง๐ฉ for every season.
