๐๐ฏ๐ผ๐๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐น๐ฎ๐๐ Masterclass: Strength is an extended technique workshop focused on learning and refining the fundamental movements used in strength training. Rather than lifting heavy, this session uses light weights and controlled practice to help you understand and master proper movement mechanics. Youโll work through key patterns such as squats, lunges, hip hinges and deadlifts, as well as upper body movements for the shoulders, chest and back. By slowing things down and focusing on technique, this workshop helps you build strong movement foundations that improve performance and reduce the risk of injury in your regular training. Masterclasses run for 60-90 minutes, allowing plenty of time to practise each movement and receive individual coaching. ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ณ๐ถ๐๐ & ๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ โข Squats and lunges โข Hip hinge and deadlift mechanics โข Upper body pushing and pulling movements โข Movement control and stability โข Confidence with strength equipment ๐ช๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ โข ๐๐พ๐๐ถ๐ฝ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ (all is provided): A variety of strength equipment may be used including barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells and other training tools to help you understand how movements translate across different equipment โข ๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐๐ & ๐ง๐ฒ๐บ๐ฝ๐ผ: Low to moderate intensity with a strong focus on technique and control. Lighter weights are used so you can concentrate fully on learning and refining each movement โข ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฉ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ฒ: Educational, supportive and coach-led. Expect detailed guidance, hands-on coaching and plenty of time to practise and ask questions ๐ฌ๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐๐ป๐๐๐ฟ๐๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฟ Sessions are led by Gerry, a Level 4 Master Personal Trainer, Level 3 Pilates Instructor, Level 3 Reformer Pilates Instructor, and Level 4 specialist in Low Back Pain and Obesity. Gerryโs coaching focuses on helping people understand movement properly so they can train safely, build strength and develop confidence in fundamental exercises. ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ต ๐๐ผ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ Participants may be asked to complete a short health questionnaire before attending so we can ensure the session is suitable and provide appropriate guidance.
